NO FORMAL ICC WARRANT VS DELA ROSA, SAYS DILG

Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla clarified Tuesday that there is still no confirmation of an alleged International Criminal Court (ICC) warrant of arrest against Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa.

“Alleged pa rin siya hanggang ngayon. Pero as far as I’m concerned, wala pa ako nakikitang formal copy of a warrant of arrest or request for an arrest from the ICC,” Remulla said in a press briefing.

“So just to make it clear, neither the [Department of Foreign Affairs] nor the [Department of the Interior and Local Government], [Philippine National Police], or the Center for Transnational Crimes have received a formal copy of the warrant of arrest,” he added.

Remulla noted that while some claim to have seen the document, no official copy has been presented.

“However, there are several people who claim to have seen it but the formal copy has not yet been shown to us so as far as we are concerned, wala pa talagang warrant of arrest,” he said.

In November 2025, Ombudsman Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla said he had an unofficial copy of the alleged warrant on his cellphone.

Since then, dela Rosa—who previously served as PNP chief under former President Rodrigo Duterte—has not attended Senate sessions.
