Malacañang has issued several proclamations declaring special non-working days in different provinces, cities, and municipalities to allow residents to celebrate local festivals and milestone anniversaries.
The proclamations, signed by Executive Secretary Ralph Recto by authority of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., cover areas across Central Luzon, CALABARZON, Visayas, and Mindanao.
Among the declared dates are:
- January 15 – Coconut Festival in San Pablo City, Laguna
- January 22 – Halamanan Festival in Guiguinto, Bulacan
- February 2 – Katipunan, Zamboanga del Norte and Mabalacat City, Pampanga
- February 3 – Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija founding anniversary
- February 6 – Consolacion, Cebu
- February 10 – Bacolor Day in Pampanga
- February 11 – Dinagyaw sa Tablas Festival in Candoni, Negros Occidental
- February 17 – Araw ng Kabasalan in Zamboanga Sibugay
- February 21 – Araw ng Marinduque
- May 7 – Charter Anniversary of San Pablo City, Laguna
The Palace emphasized that these declarations aim to encourage community participation, preserve cultural traditions, and boost tourism-driven economic activity in the affected areas.
