REVILLA, EX-DPWH OFFICIALS FACE ARREST OVER BULACAN PROJECT

Former Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. and six former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) officials were issued warrants of arrest and hold departure orders on Monday in connection with a ₱92.8-million flood control project in Pandi, Bulacan that allegedly never materialized.

The case involves malversation and graft charges, with the Sandiganbayan 3rd Division recommending no bail for Revilla and his co-accused.

Also named in the arrest warrants are former DPWH officials Brice Hernandez, Jaypee Mendoza, Arjay Domasig, Emelita Juat, Juanito Mendoza, and Christina Pineda.

Earlier, the Sandiganbayan raffled the cases, assigning the graft complaint to the Fourth Division chaired by Associate Justice Michael Musngi.

This development underscores the judiciary’s continuing crackdown on alleged misuse of public funds tied to infrastructure projects.
