Pusong Pinoy Partylist Representative Jett Nisay, who endorsed the impeachment complaint against President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., denied on Monday that he is working with Vice President Sara Duterte.
In an interview, Nisay was asked if he was “working with the side of the Vice President.” He quickly replied:
“No.”
Explaining his motivation for endorsing the complaint filed by lawyer Andre De Jesus, Nisay said the decision was carefully reviewed.
“Siguro nung nilapit sa akin ni Atty. Andre, pinag-aralang mabuti. Actually, hindi lang naman ako nag-aral nito—syempre, yung mga legal natin. So pinag-aralan namin ng halos ilang weeks. Nakita namin na ito yung hinahanap ng ating mga kababayan,” he said.
Nisay added that the details of the case would be clarified further in the coming days.
“Ito yung problema na kung saan, siguro lalabas ito sa mga susunod na araw mas mapapaliwang ni Atty. Andre. Yung limang argumento ng impeachment complaint para mas lalong maintindihan ng ating mga kababayan,” he said.
The statement comes amid heightened political tension as the first impeachment complaint against Marcos gains traction in the House of Representatives.
