Senator Imee Marcos on Saturday openly criticized individuals inside Malacañang, claiming that President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s recent illness was aggravated by the lack of genuine concern for his well-being among those surrounding him.
In a Facebook video, the senator alleged that personal agendas have taken precedence over care for the Chief Executive, leaving him vulnerable.
She followed this with a sharper accusation, suggesting that internal politics had left the President neglected.
“Ang health niya ang bibigay. Kaniya-kaniyang agenda kayo diyan, wala namang umaasikaso sa kaniya,” Marcos said.
Her remarks came days after Communications Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro confirmed that the President was placed under medical observation last Thursday after “experiencing discomfort.”
He was briefly admitted at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City before returning to the Palace to resume his duties.
The senator urged her brother to prioritize his health and distance himself from those currently surrounding him in the Palace.
Marcos also criticized unnamed figures whom she accused of overstepping their roles in government.
Naku,” she said.
Her statements underscore growing tensions within the Palace, as questions arise over the President’s health and the influence of those in his inner circle.
