MARCOS SET TO ATTEND UN FORUMS IN NEW YORK IN MARCH

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is scheduled to return to the United Nations next month for a working visit to New York from March 8 to 11, Malacañang confirmed.

Communications Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the visit will focus on multilateral engagement and high-level diplomacy.

The President will attend the opening of the 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women, Castro said, highlighting the UN forum’s role in promoting gender equality and women’s rights.

Marcos is also expected to speak at a special session of the UN General Assembly, demonstrating the Philippines’ commitment to remaining active in global policy discussions amid regional and international challenges.

“Beyond the formal sessions, Marcos will hold meetings with UN officials,” Castro added.
