Malacañang on Saturday dismissed claims that President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. had been rushed to a hospital, clarifying that he was in a private meeting and performing his duties as usual.
Communications Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said in a statement: “The President was in a private meeting with PMS this morning. He is well, healthy, and working even on a Saturday.”
She did not provide further details but emphasized that Marcos remained engaged in official work.
The clarification comes amid renewed speculation over the President’s health, following his disclosure last month that he had been diagnosed with diverticulitis, an inflammation of pouches in the digestive tract.
Marcos limited public appearances for about two weeks to rest, though Malacañang maintained he continued monitoring government operations during that period.
