BUSINESS CONFIDENCE RISES TO 38.6% AMID ECONOMIC OPTIMISM

Enterprises expressed optimism for the next 12 months, with business confidence recorded at 38.6%, driven by expectations of stronger consumer demand, a healthier economy, and increased investment opportunities.

Companies also signaled plans to expand their workforce, with the employment outlook index at 23.3%, while 24.3% of industry firms reported intentions to pursue expansion projects within the year.

Businesses projected inflation to average 2.6%, slightly below the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP)’s 3% target for 2026.

The confidence levels suggest sustained growth momentum, even as firms continue to monitor inflationary pressures and evolving market conditions.
