Is the Kapamilya Network bringing back its iconic “ABS-CBN” branding on free television?
Speculation surfaced after netizens noticed that the Lopez-owned content giant has repeatedly used the “ABS-CBN” branding as a platform identifier in several of its programs such as ROJA and What Lies Beneath.

Photos circulating on social media also showed promotional materials carrying the tagline “ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2,” referring to the free TV channel of Advanced Media Broadcasting System, owned by the family of businessman and former Senate President Manny Villar. The channel currently airs top-rating ABS-CBN content also seen on its cable platform, Kapamilya Channel.

As of writing, ABS-CBN has yet to make a formal announcement on whether it will officially restore the iconic branding for its free TV presence.
It can be recalled that on May 5, 2020, the public last saw the ABS-CBN logo on their television screens before the network was ordered to cease broadcast operations under the administration of former President Rodrigo Duterte after it was denied a new franchise.
While there is no confirmation yet, the recent use of the ABS-CBN branding on free TV promotions has sparked renewed discussions among viewers about the possible return of the historic name to the country’s broadcast landscape.
