Bloomberry Resorts Corporation, operator of Solaire Resort, posted a ₱2.6 billion net loss in 2025, reversing its ₱2.6 billion net income from the previous year.
The company attributed the downturn to weaker tourism and the lingering effects of the July 2024 ban on Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations (POGOs), which weighed heavily on revenues in the VIP and premium mass-market segments. Gross gaming revenue slipped 3% to ₱59.8 billion from ₱61.7 billion in 2024.
At Solaire Resort Entertainment City, VIP gross gaming revenue plunged 54% to ₱7 billion, while mass table gaming revenue fell to ₱16.5 billion. In contrast, Solaire Resort North posted gains, with VIP gaming revenue rising to ₱1.1 billion and mass table gaming revenue surging 111% to ₱7.7 billion.
Bloomberry chairman Enrique Razon emphasized that despite the losses, the company outperformed the broader integrated resort market, supported by the ramp-up of Solaire Resort North and the resilience of its domestic mass-market business.
The company also highlighted ongoing enhancements to both Solaire properties while maintaining expense discipline.
“In the online segment, we remain confident in the long-term opportunity as we await greater regulatory clarity and continue strengthening the competitiveness and user experience of our digital platforms,” Razon said.
Bloomberry operates the online gambling platform MegaFUNalo! and has partnered with Filipino game developer Gioco to integrate locally made titles into its digital offerings.
