The House Committee on Labor and Employment has endorsed a consolidated measure seeking to establish Trabaho Centers nationwide, aimed at strengthening job matching and expanding access to employment opportunities for Filipinos.
Chaired by Cavite 1st District Representative Jolo Revilla, the panel approved without objection the committee report consolidating House Bills 268, 7366, and 7587.
Revilla emphasized the measure’s core objective:
“Our goal is simple but critical—make it easier for every Filipino seeking work to find the right opportunity. Trabaho Centers will help bring government services closer to our people and support inclusive economic growth.”
Under the proposal, Trabaho Centers will function as integrated employment service hubs at the local level, assisting job seekers in finding suitable work.
The measure also envisions job placement offices in schools to support graduating students and young workers as they transition into the workforce.
Following its committee approval, the measure is set to advance to the House plenary for deliberation and voting.
