DSWD ASSURES SERVICES AMID FOUR-DAY WORK WEEK

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has assured the public that its programs and services will remain uninterrupted despite the implementation of a new four-day work week policy for government agencies.

DSWD spokesperson Irene Dumlao said Monday that the agency will adopt a compressed work week (CWW), requiring employees to work 10 hours per day for four days each week.

“To effectively comply with these national conservation mandates while ensuring the uninterrupted delivery of our social protection services, the DSWD Central Office and Field Offices, including the satellite offices, are hereby directed to adopt the CWW arrangement,” the agency memorandum stated.

The DSWD emphasized that essential services will continue to operate daily, including:

  • Disaster Response Command Center
  • Crisis Intervention Program
  • Pag-abot Program
  • Walang Gutom Kitchen
  • Residential care facilities

These measures aim to guarantee consistent assistance to the public while supporting national energy conservation goals.
