GINTAMA: THE VERY FINAL AND 20TH ANNIVERSARY SAGA SET FOR PHILIPPINE CINEMA SCREENINGS

PHILIPPINES — Fans of the long running samurai comedy series Gintama will soon have the opportunity to experience the franchise on the big screen as Gintama: The Very Final and the Gintama 20th Anniversary Saga are scheduled to screen in select cinemas across the Philippines.

The screenings celebrate two decades of the hit anime and manga created by Hideaki Sorachi, bringing both the climactic finale of the anime and several of its most memorable story arcs to theaters for Filipino audiences.

Gintama: The Very Final

Originally released in Japan in 2021, Gintama: The Very Final serves as the concluding chapter of the anime adaptation. The film follows the final battle involving samurai freelancer Gintoki Sakata and his allies as they face their greatest conflict in a struggle that will determine the fate of Edo.

The movie features the return of the original voice cast including Tomokazu Sugita, Daisuke Sakaguchi, and Rie Kugimiya, and was produced by Bandai Namco Pictures.

For its Philippine theatrical run, Gintama: The Very Final will be screened exclusively through SM Cinema locations nationwide.
