The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) confirmed it will continue filing cases against officials and personnel implicated in anomalous flood control projects nationwide.
Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon said the cases will be referred to the Office of the Ombudsman following internal investigations aimed at addressing corruption within the agency.
Dizon emphasized the department’s commitment to transparency and accountability as the probes into the projects move forward.
So far, more than 40 individuals—including at least 20 officials and staff members of the DPWH—have been charged with graft and corruption for their alleged involvement in questionable flood control projects.
Dizon added that the Office of the Ombudsman will release the names of those charged along with the specific cases filed.
