Vice President Sara Duterte has submitted her response to the impeachment complaints filed against her, Representative Terry Ridon of the Bicol Saro Party-List confirmed Monday.
Ridon said Duterte’s consolidated Answer Ad Cautelam was filed before the House Committee on Justice at 4:30 p.m.
Earlier in the day, Duterte had not disclosed whether she would respond to the complaints. She was given 10 days to answer the cases.
Two of the four impeachment complaints were declared “sufficient in substance” by the House Committee on Justice, chaired by Batangas 2nd District Representative Gerville Luistro.
The committee is expected to deliberate further on the complaints in the coming weeks, following the submission of Duterte’s formal response.
