MEDIAQUEST RESTRUCTURES LEADERSHIP, APPOINTS NEW CEO AND CFO

Media company MediaQuest Holdings Inc. is undergoing a leadership reshuffle as part of its efforts to strengthen financial management and improve cash flow stability.

According to industry sources, executive Christopher Lizo has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the company, which serves as the media arm of the MVP Group of Companies led by business tycoon Manny V. Pangilinan.

Lizo previously served as CFO of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), bringing with him extensive experience in financial management.

His appointment is seen as part of broader restructuring initiatives aimed at ensuring healthier cash flow and preventing potential financial challenges within the organization.

MediaQuest oversees a wide range of media assets, including free-to-air channels TV5 Network Inc. and RPTV, in partnership with Radio Philippines Network (RPN). It also manages news channels One PH and One News, satellite provider Cignal TV, radio station 105.9 True FM, and major print publications such as The Philippine Star, BusinessWorld, Pilipino Star Ngayon, and The Freeman.

Meanwhile, Ricky Vargas has formally assumed leadership of MediaQuestʼs Chief Executive Officer (CEO), replacing Jane Jimenez-Basas, who quietly stepped down from her post in January.

The leadership changes signal MediaQuest’s move to reinforce its organizational structure as it navigates evolving challenges in the media industry.
