PBBM URGES PH ARMY TO UPHOLD DISCIPLINE, INTEGRITY

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Thursday called on members of the Philippine Army to uphold discipline, integrity, and professionalism as they carry out their mandate to protect the nation.

Speaking at the Army’s 129th founding anniversary, Marcos urged soldiers to remain steadfast in maintaining public trust.

“I encourage the Philippine Army to exemplify integrity, discipline, professionalism as these are the bedrocks of your institution,” the President said.

He noted that the Army has “earned the trust of the Filipino people through your steadfast service.”

“Every day offers an opportunity to deepen and uphold that trust. Let this day renew your commitment to sharpening your capabilities, broadening your experience, and raising the standard of service,” Marcos added.

The President also emphasized the importance of building on gains in internal security while strengthening coordination with law enforcement agencies to address emerging threats.

He stressed that the military must remain agile and prepared as challenges evolve from traditional security concerns to those spanning maritime domains and digital spaces.
