PAL SUSPENDS SELECT DOHA, DUBAI FLIGHTS AMID MIDDLE EAST TENSIONS

Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) has announced the temporary suspension of several flights to and from Doha, Qatar and Dubai, United Arab Emirates until April 30, citing ongoing security concerns linked to the conflict in the Middle East.

The affected routes include:

  • PR 658/659 Manila–Dubai–Manila
  • PR 684 Manila–Doha
  • PR 685 Doha–Manila

In addition, flight PR 685 (Doha–Manila) scheduled for May 1 has also been canceled.

PAL said the move is a precautionary measure as the situation in the region remains uncertain, particularly with possible airspace restrictions and disruptions in airport operations.

“Given the current environment, PAL has determined that temporarily suspending these services is the most prudent course of action while conditions remain fluid,” it said.

Passengers impacted by the cancellations may choose from several options, including free rebooking once services resume, converting tickets into travel credits, or requesting full refunds, subject to existing policies.

The airline advised affected travelers to coordinate with its customer service teams through its website, contact center, or ticketing offices for assistance. PAL also noted that its cargo services are being affected by the suspension.

The airline said it is currently coordinating with logistics partners to identify alternative routes for shipments.
