The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) announced that drivers who have yet to claim their fuel subsidy can now register simply by scanning a QR code.
Under the new system, drivers no longer need to visit LTFRB offices in person to sign up. A quick scan of the QR code allows them to complete the registration process and be included in the list of beneficiaries.
According to the agency, the initiative is part of LTFRB chairperson Vigor Mendoza II’s push to streamline services for the transport sector and make government assistance more accessible to drivers.
The LTFRB added that the simplified registration process is designed to ensure financial aid reaches rightful beneficiaries faster, while reducing the time, cost, and effort previously required to process applications.
