GMA Network has officially released its special programming lineup for Holy Week 2026, offering viewers a meaningful mix of local and foreign films, iconic Kapuso documentaries, religious specials, and selected highlight episodes of a popular noontime show.
From Maundy Thursday to Black Saturday, audiences can watch a variety of local movies including Family of Two, Firefly, My Bestfriend’s Girlfriend, Family History, and I Love Lizzy. The network will also feature foreign titles such as Soccer Dog: European Cup, Lassie, Surf’s Up 2: Wavemania, and Sister Act, providing family-friendly entertainment throughout the solemn week.
In addition to the film lineup, the network will air the “best of the best” episodes of It’s Showtime, which will be simulcast on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2.
News coverage will continue with 24 Oras, while viewers can also watch special episodes from well-known Kapuso documentary programs including I-Witness, The Atom Araullo Specials, and Reporter’s Notebook.
Religious-themed specials will also be part of the programming schedule. These include the 1956 classic The Ten Commandments, as well as Magdalena, Tanikala, and the three-hour Good Friday mass Siete Palabras 2026.
Meanwhile, sister channels GTV, Heart of Asia, and Heart Movies will temporarily go off-air from Maundy Thursday to Black Saturday, with regular programming set to resume on Easter Sunday, April 5.
The Holy Week lineup aims to offer viewers a balanced mix of entertainment, reflection, and meaningful storytelling during one of the most solemn observances of the year.
