COSCO CAPITAL NET INCOME RISES TO ₱15.96B IN 2025

Cosco Capital Inc. reported a consolidated net income of ₱15.96 billion in 2025, marking a 3.4 percent increase from ₱15.4 billion recorded in the previous year.

In a statement, the company attributed the growth to strong performance across its core business segments, particularly in retail and distribution.

Its grocery segment—comprising Puregold and S&R Membership Shopping—delivered solid results, with consolidated net income rising 8.8 percent year-on-year to ₱11.3 billion.

Puregold recorded a 4.1 percent increase in same-store sales, driven by larger basket sizes, while S&R saw a 6.1 percent growth fueled by higher customer foot traffic.

Meanwhile, Cosco’s liquor distribution arm, The Keepers Holdings, contributed significantly to overall earnings, posting a consolidated net income of ₱3.56 billion.

Its revenues climbed 9 percent to ₱20.2 billion, supported by an 8 percent increase in case volumes. Growth was largely driven by strong demand for imported brandy Alfonso and other premium beverage brands in its portfolio.

Another subsidiary, Office Warehouse Inc., also posted gains, with net income expanding by 6.2 percent to ₱69 million.

The company said the overall performance reflects resilient consumer demand and the effectiveness of its strategic positioning across retail and distribution businesses.
