FIRST LADY DISMISSES RUMORS TARGETING PALACE PRESS OFFICER

First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos has brushed off rumors linking Communications Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro to an alleged romantic involvement with an executive official, saying she knew the claims were false.

According to Castro, the First Lady laughed off the reports, recognizing them as fake news. She noted that such malicious stories were among the reasons she had initially hesitated to enter politics.

“Tinawanan po yan ni First Lady, ako din nagulat din noon,” Castro said.

Castro added that she is not worried about her husband doubting her, as he understands the nature of her work in Malacañang.

She explained that she rarely goes out alone, often accompanied by her daughter, staff, or sister-in-law.

The Palace official emphasized that the rumors were baseless and reflective of the kind of intrigue critics resort to when they cannot find legitimate issues to raise.
