For the first time, the Philippines will host WAN-IFRA Digital Media Asia (DMA), the Asia-Pacific’s most influential gathering of news media leaders, innovators, and disruptors. The event will take place at the Manila Hotel from April 27 to 29.
Now in its 18th year, DMA has established itself as the premier forum for digital transformation, revenue innovation, and emerging technologies in publishing. WAN-IFRA, representing 3,000 news publishing companies, 40 member associations, and 18,000 publications across 120 countries, is bringing the world’s largest press organization to Manila.
Organizers describe the conference as more than a routine gathering, calling it “a once-in-a-generation opportunity for the region’s media professionals to connect with the global community and shape the future of news.”
Over two days, participants will explore how artificial intelligence, shifting platform dynamics, and the creator economy are reshaping the industry.
International news organizations will present case studies on building sustainable digital revenue models, while regional voices from the Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia will provide local perspectives.
The Manila Hotel, known as the “Grand Dame by the Bay,” will serve as the historic backdrop for this milestone event. Within its storied halls, media leaders, strategists, technologists, and creators are expected to exchange ideas, forge partnerships, and chart the next era of publishing.
WAN-IFRA Digital Media Asia 2026 is being positioned not just as a conference but as a transformative experience. Organizers say it will bring together “the brightest minds in the industry to chart the course of journalism and media in the digital age.”
Attendees are expected to leave with new strategies, insights, and the momentum to lead their organizations into the future.
