Filipino fans of popular love teams are in for a “kilig-filled” summer as three of the country’s biggest onscreen tandems release new films between late April and May.
FRANSETH
Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin reunite for She Who Must Not Be Named, their second film together after the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival hit My Future You.

Directed by Christopher Novabos and produced by Ohh Aye Productions and Solar Studios Inc., the movie follows James Richard Montefalco (Fedelin), a charming but forgetful playboy with dyslexia, whose life changes when he meets a mysterious girl (Diaz) who insists he never learn or speak her name. The film opens nationwide on April 29.
JMFYANG
JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith, who rose to fame in Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 and starred in Shake Rattle and Roll: Evil Origins (2025 MMFF), headline their first lead film Almost Us.

Directed by Dan Villegas and produced by Regal Entertainment Inc. and Project 8 Productions, the story explores the fragile line between friendship and love, asking whether romance can thrive when timing isn’t perfect. The film premieres on May 6.
DONBELLE
Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, known as DonBelle, return with Tayo Sa Wakas. Produced by ABS-CBN Film Productions and directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, the film promises a more mature portrayal of the beloved tandem.

Plot details remain under wraps, but anticipation is high following their past successes in Love Is Color Blind (2021), An Inconvenient Love (2022), and the 2023 TV series Can’t Buy Me Love. The movie hits theaters on May 27.
These releases are expected to thrill fans and help revitalize the local film industry, drawing audiences back to cinemas for summer entertainment.
