TOYCON SUMMER PRELUDE LAUNCHES AT OKADA WITH TWO EVENT ZONES

MANILA — Pop culture fans can look forward to a larger pre event celebration as TOYCON Summer Prelude 2026 unfolds at Okada Manila on April 11 and 12, introducing dual event spaces for the first time in the convention’s history.

Organizers confirmed that this year’s edition will utilize both the Crystal Pavilion and The Garden, delivering a combination of indoor convention activities and outdoor festival experiences.

Indoor and Outdoor Experiences for Attendees

The Crystal Pavilion will serve as the main indoor hub, featuring the classic TOYCON setup with toy and collectible exhibitors, merchandise booths, special guest appearances, and trading card tournaments. Activities in this area will run from 12:00 noon to 10:00 PM.

Meanwhile, The Garden will be transformed into a festival themed outdoor venue in partnership with Cosplay Fiesta. Attendees can expect cosplay activities, interactive fair style booths, an artist alley for local creators, a night market, and guest cosplayer appearances. The outdoor space will be open from 3:00 PM until midnight, offering a vibrant summer atmosphere.

Free Admission and Shuttle Service

Admission remains free and open to all ages, continuing TOYCON’s commitment to accessibility for the wider community. To improve convenience, a complimentary shuttle service will operate from SM Mall of Asia to Okada Manila’s The Garden, with trips scheduled every 30 minutes from 11:00 AM to 12:30 AM.

Lead Up to the Main TOYCON Event

The Summer Prelude serves as a preview for TOYCON, widely regarded as one of the country’s largest pop culture conventions. The pre event allows fans to experience early highlights, meet exhibitors, and engage with community activities ahead of the main event later this year.

Strengthening the Pop Culture Scene

The expansion reflects the continued growth of the Philippine pop culture landscape, with increasing participation in cosplay, collectibles, and trading card games. Organizers noted that the addition of an outdoor festival component aligns with emerging trends that blend convention experiences with lifestyle and community driven activities.

With expanded venues, extended hours, and a diverse mix of programming, TOYCON Summer Prelude 2026 is shaping up to be one of the event’s most dynamic editions yet. Fans are encouraged to mark April 11 and 12 for a weekend celebration at Okada Manila, setting the stage for the much anticipated TOYCON main event.
