The Office of the Vice President (OVP) under Vice President Sara Duterte has officially adopted a four-day work week schedule, in line with Memorandum Circular No. 114.
The OVP announced Monday that its offices will be open to the public from Monday to Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Staff will shift to work-from-home arrangements every Friday.
The Central Records Unit, however, will remain operational on Fridays to receive documents.
The move comes amid rising oil prices driven by ongoing tensions in the Middle East, with government agencies adjusting work arrangements to ease fuel consumption and commuting costs.
