DOE AWARDS PASAY CITY 5-STAR RATING FOR ENERGY EFFICIENCY

The Department of Energy (DOE) has recognized the local government of Pasay City with a prestigious 5-Star Rating following a recent spot check and inspection of its Energy Efficiency and Conservation (EEC) measures at Pasay City Hall.

The DOE commended the city government for its effective implementation of policies and initiatives aimed at reducing energy use and fuel consumption. Officials stressed that such efforts are crucial as the world faces an energy crisis linked to ongoing tensions in the Middle East.

The 5-Star Rating is the highest grade conferred by the DOE, symbolizing a city or local government’s commitment to energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. Pasay LGU achieved an overall score of 89.47%, qualifying it for the top rating.

The city government encouraged residents to support the initiative by practicing simple energy-saving habits and being responsible in the use of energy resources.
