Vice President Sara Duterte gave a curt reply when asked about speculation surrounding the health of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., saying only:
“Goodluck sa kaniya!”
Her remark came during an April 9 media interview, amid warnings from Malacañang against the spread of false claims alleging that the President is battling cancer.
Palace officials have vowed to act against those behind the rumors, stressing the dangers of disinformation.
Authorities said the crackdown is part of a broader campaign to combat fake news and protect public trust in government institutions.
They warned that misleading narratives could sow unnecessary confusion among citizens and undermine confidence in leadership.
