Motorists, particularly diesel users, may soon see relief at fuel stations as oil industry sources project a significant rollback in pump prices next week.
Based on initial estimates, diesel prices could decline by ₱5.50 to ₱6.50 per liter, while gasoline prices may decrease by around ₱1.00 per liter.
Oil companies are expected to announce the official price adjustments on Monday, with the new rates typically taking effect the following day, Tuesday.
The projected rollback is seen as welcome news for consumers, especially public transport operators and private drivers, who have faced a series of fuel price increases in recent weeks.
Industry players have yet to confirm the final adjustments, but early indications point to a notable downward movement in global oil-related pricing factors that influence local pump rates.
