Award-winning actor and producer Piolo Pascual has shared that he is open to having another child in the future, while emphasizing that he prefers to be in a committed relationship first.
Speaking at the BDO Media Day event, Pascual admitted he has been single for quite some time but recently began to feel the desire for companionship.
“I’ve been single for some time now. But of late, I kind of feel that you want to be able to have someone you can talk to. Just to have someone,” he said.
Pascual has a son, Iñigo Pascual, with former non-showbiz partner Donnabelle Lazaro.
On the possibility of expanding his family, he said he is not yet ready but remains open to the idea.
“But baby-wise, I don’t think I’m ready. My son is just 28. Maybe mauna na siya. But when it happens, why not?” he said.
The actor stressed that he prefers to build a family within marriage rather than outside of it.
“[T]here are pros and cons. But options-wise, I wouldn’t want to have a kid without a partner, of course. I would want to have a wife first before I have a kid,” he added.
Earlier this year, Pascual also revealed in an interview that he has been without a romantic relationship for more than a decade, but continues to remain open to future possibilities.
