The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Saturday urged public utility jeepney (PUJ) drivers in Metro Manila—particularly unclaimed and additional beneficiaries of the government’s cash relief program—to ensure that their names are correctly listed ahead of the upcoming payout.
The agency said drivers must present a valid driver’s license that matches the name appearing on the official roster in order to claim the ₱5,000 cash assistance.
Drivers with misspelled names or incomplete details were advised to immediately coordinate with the LTFRB through its official communication channels, including its Facebook page, email, Viber account, or through their respective local government units for corrections.
The LTFRB said it will finalize the list of beneficiaries in coordination with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (Philippines) by Sunday, April 12. According to the agency, the roster has already been validated by jeepney drivers’ association presidents across the 17 Metro Manila local government units.
Authorities are also conducting checks to eliminate duplicate entries before submitting the final list for de-duplication to ensure that each qualified driver receives assistance only once.
The special payout will run from April 14 to April 22, following the schedule and venues released on the DSWD’s official Facebook page.
