PADILLA, GO ADVISED DELA ROSA TO LAY LOW AMID CONTROVERSIES

Senator Robin Padilla revealed that he and Senator Christopher “Bong” Go advised their ally, Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, to refrain from making public appearances as controversies surrounding him continue.

In a radio interview, Padilla confirmed their support for the Reform Alliance for Good Governance and Accountability (RAGE) Coalition, which was launched by Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte.

“Kami pong dalawa ni Senator Bong Go ay nakasuporta po kami kay Baste,” Padilla said.

Padilla explained dela Rosa’s absence during the coalition’s launch, disclosing that they had urged him to keep a low profile for the time being.

“Nagkataon lamang po na si Senator Bato ay pinagtatago pa namin. Kami po ang nagsabi sa kanya na huwag munang lumabas kaya wala po siya doon pero nagbigay po siya ng pahayag,” Padilla added.

The RAGE Coalition, spearheaded by Mayor Duterte, aims to combat corruption and promote accountability in governance.

Dela Rosa has not attended Senate sessions since November 2025, following Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla’s statement that the International Criminal Court (ICC) had issued a warrant of arrest against him in connection with his role in the controversial anti-drug campaign under former President Rodrigo Duterte.
