The long-anticipated wait for “Lockians” is officially reaching its endgame. Following a successful run on digital streaming platforms, the high-stakes mystery-thriller Project Loki is pivoting to nationwide television through a partnership between TV5 and Studio VIVA.
Originally debuting as a Viva One digital exclusive in February, the series has consistently trended among younger demographics, fueled by the massive popularity of its source material.

Based on the web novel by AkoSiIbarra (Cris Ibarra)—which boasts over 100 million reads—the show’s transition to free-to-air TV aims to bring its signature “Sherlockian” intrigue to a broader household audience.
The Q.E.D. Club Hits the Small Screen
Under the direction of Xian Lim, the series brings the halls of Clark University to life. The cast features:
- Dylan Menor as the brilliant yet detached Loki Mendez.
- Jayda Avanzado as the intuitive Lorelei Rios.
- Marco Gallo as the mysterious Luthor Mendez.
- Yumi Garcia as Jamie Santiago.
- Martin Venegas as Alistair Ravena.
Director Xian Lim emphasized his commitment to the decade-old fandom, noting his intent to blend faithful adaptation with a cinematic flair.
“I vow to give justice to the ‘Project Loki’ adaptation. We want to make sure that the fans who have been following this story for ten years will see the characters they love come to life exactly as they imagined, but with an added layer of cinematic mystery.”
A Faithful Transition
Despite the move to a traditional broadcast format, the production team has assured fans that the “slow-burn” intensity and complex puzzles of the digital version remain intact.

The plot follows the Q.E.D. Club as they untangle various crimes while being hunted by a shadowy mastermind known only as “M.”

Series creator Cris Ibarra admitted he was initially surprised by the selection of his work for such a major production, but expressed full confidence in the final product.
“My first reaction was ‘Why?’ dahil maraming stories diyan na mas popular at mas mainstream na talagang kakagatin ng audience. But I can confidently say that this story is in very, very good hands. This adaptation will be faithful to the spirit of the source material.”
The Digital-to-TV Trend
The arrival of Project Loki on TV5 this May highlights an evolving media landscape where “digital-first” content—bolstered by passionate online communities—is proving to be a viable powerhouse for traditional networks.

As the Q.E.D. Club prepares for its television debut, viewers are reminded of the series’ central mantra: “The game is afoot.”
