The beat is back and bigger than ever as the Philippines’ premier OPM live music countdown, VIBE, officially inaugurated its permanent home at the MVP Studios in Mandaluyong City last Saturday.
Moving into the Launchpad on Sheridan Street, the show marked its return with a “Major Vibe Party” that offered fans a front-row concert experience for free.

The night ignited with a high-energy opening sequence featuring the VIBE Jocks and GEN Vs. Elmo Magalona teamed up with Hardware Syndrome for a powerful rendition of 3 Stars & A Sun, later joining Maxie Andreison for the classic Cold Summer Nights. The stage remained electric as Niko, Carmela, Selina, Kych, and Queenay performed 1621’s BABABA.

Nostalgia took center stage as Ryle covered Silent Sanctuary’s Kundiman, while Ana Ramsey and Prettier Than Pink got the crowd moving to Cool Ka Lang. Dylan Menor slowed things down with SugarFree’s Batang Bata Ka Pa, leading into a finale featuring the VIBE Jock boys, GEN Vs, and Aikee performing Kahit Bata Pa Ako.

In this week’s Vibe Spot, Gilly Joe of the P-pop group AON shared his excitement for his upcoming debut and the opportunity to perform at the new studio. He passed the spotlight to Bianca Denise, who delivered a soulful performance of Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin.

The Uprising Stage saw VVINK claim the top spot for their track BADUY featuring DJ Love and Pio Balbuena, garnering 37.18% of the fan vote.
“We are grateful to our fans (VVINKIES) for the heartwarming support and we will continue to spread out the music that’s truly ours,” the group shared.
The evening also celebrated OPM legends Salbakuta, who performed their hits Di Karapat Dapat and Stupid Love. Offering advice to the new generation of artists, the trio remarked:
“Keep it up lang, Diresto lang kung ano lang gustong gawin lumikha ng musika, para sa mga tagapagkinig niyo, at para sainyo mga obra.”
The Main Vibe countdown saw The Juans take the 5th spot with Hatid. Reflecting on the song’s emotional weight, member Carlo noted:

“Pero mahirap makipaglaban pag ikaw na lang ang lumalaban tapos yung isa sumusuko na.”
Earl Agustin made a massive debut at the 2nd spot with Pag-ibig ng Ikaw At Ako. Discussing his journey, he said:
“Actually nung pinursue ang opportunity sa akin, grinab ko lang sya then I don’t wanna to do to give it a try. Gusto ko rin makita na anong magagawa ko pagka sa lugar akong di sanay and so yun maraming maraming prayers talaga.”
Securing the coveted #1 spot was LILY with their comeback hit TamaMali. Vocalist Joshua expressed his pride in transitioning from their previous performances to headlining the new MVP Studios.

Closing the momentous event, Mr. Manny V. Pangilinan, Chairman of the MVP Group of Companies, offered words of encouragement to the production:

“Congratulations to the team that build a new studio, very impressive, you showed a very good tonight and hinihilingin ko sa inyo, every Saturday that you performed, you deliver the show than the previous Saturday. Towards that level of excellence that TV5 deserves.”
