DONNY, BELLE CONFIRM “TAYO SA WAKAS” AS LAST DONBELLE PROJECT FOR NOW

Popular screen partners Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano have revealed that their upcoming movie, Tayo Sa Wakas, will mark their final project as a duo for the time being.

Appearing on Bianca Gonzalez-Intal’s podcast, Paano Ba ‘To?, the pair shared that the choice to pursue separate paths was a mutual and conscious decision intended to foster their individual development as actors.

Reflecting on their journey, Pangilinan explained the transition as a natural progression after years of consistent work together.

“We’ve done so many projects throughout the years. Me and Belle decided that for this specific movie, it will be our last DonBelle project for now,” The actor noted that they are pouring their full commitment into the production to ensure it serves as a high-quality milestone for their partnership.

“We’re focusing all our energy to make sure this movie is worth it,” he added.

For Mariano, the shift brings a mix of apprehension and anticipation. While acknowledging the comfort of their established dynamic, she expressed a readiness to embrace the unknown challenges of the next chapter in her career.

“We’re really so dedicated in doing this project really, really well. We’re just so excited for what’s ahead for the both of us. I know that there’s so much that we are going to go through, it’s scary but it’s okay,” she shared.

With a strong desire to honor the fans who have supported them since their breakthrough, Mariano emphasized that they are leaving nothing on the table for this final outing.

“Now that we said this is our last for now, we really want to make it worth it for everyone. Right now, we are just really giving our best, everything.”

The tandem first achieved massive success with the 2021 series He’s Into Her, quickly earning the title of the “New Gen Phenomenal Loveteam.” Over the years, they solidified their status through a string of hits, including Love Is Color Blind, An Inconvenient Love, and the recent series Can’t Buy Me Love.

Their final film is expected to showcase a more mature side of the actors as they prepare to evolve from a fixed unit into independent artists.
