Motorists who have enjoyed free passage on the CAVITEX-C5 Link Segment 3B over the past month must now prepare to pay, as the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) officially commences toll collection this Tuesday.
The segment, which serves as a vital artery connecting the Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) to C5 Road in Taguig City, has been open to the public for free since March 30, 2026. The TRB confirmed that starting May 5, fees will be implemented for all vehicle classes traversing the newly opened infrastructure.
According to the approved fee structure, the rates vary based on the destination and vehicle type:
TRAVEL FROM TAGUIG TO SUCAT (OR VICE VERSA)
- Class 1 (Cars/SUVs): ₱59
- Class 2 (Buses/Light Trucks): ₱117
- Class 3 (Heavy Trucks/Trailers): ₱176
TRAVEL FROM TAGUIG TO ROXAS BLVD / ZAPOTE (OR VICE VERSA)
- Class 1: ₱97
- Class 2: ₱194
- Class 3: ₱291
The full implementation of the toll comes as the project fulfills its promise of drastic decongestion in the south.
By providing a direct link between Parañaque and Taguig City, Segment 3B has successfully cut travel times from the traditional 1.5-hour crawl to a brisk 15-minute drive.
Authorities advise motorists to ensure their RFID accounts are sufficiently funded before the Tuesday deadline to avoid delays and penalties at the toll plazas.
