PBBM ANNOUNCES NEW PGH BRANCH IN CARMONA, CAVITE

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. revealed on Monday that the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) will soon expand with a new branch in Carmona City, Cavite.

The President confirmed that the groundbreaking ceremony for the medical facility is set later this May. The upcoming hospital will have a 200-bed capacity and is strategically located to provide specialized healthcare services to residents of Cavite and nearby provinces in Southern Luzon.

“Mayroon tayong bubuksan na branch ng PGH na 200 beds. Mag-groundbreaking daw kami itong Mayo na ito isang PGH na hospital sa Carmona.”

Speaking at the “Bawat Barangay Makikinabang” event in General Trias City, Marcos framed the expansion as part of his administration’s push to decentralize high-quality medical services, moving them away from congested urban centers and closer to local communities.

He emphasized that strengthening healthcare infrastructure is a vital social safety net, especially as Filipino families face financial strain from global economic volatility and rising costs of essential goods.

By establishing a premier state-run hospital outside Manila, the government aims to ease the travel time and financial burden for patients in the Calabarzon region who currently seek treatment at the main PGH campus in Ermita.
