Kapatid radio station 105.9 True FM rolled out a major brand refresh and a revamped programming lineup on Monday, May 4, shaking up its daily broadcast schedule.
Audiences tuning in via radio, True TV, and online livestreams were greeted with a modernized roster of news, talk, and music shows, with a particular focus on transforming the station’s morning block.
According to management, the station intends to deliver fresh, engaging content throughout the day, promising that there is now “more to look forward to every hour” for its loyal following.
Headlining the roster of new programs is the early morning newscast “Balita Alas Tres” anchored by Rigie Malinao at 3:00 a.m. Malinao pulls double duty for the morning rush, joining Ruth Cabal as the newly minted co-anchor of the updated breakfast program “Good Morning, Bayan!”
The station’s daytime and evening lineups also received a boost, introducing the afternoon music and narrative segment “LSS: Love Songs & Stories” with Maki Rena, followed by the late-night program “True Confessions,” hosted by the tandem of DJ Laboching and DJ Tony Toni.
These new additions complement True FM’s established weekday staples, which continue to feature “Ted Failon at DJ Chacha sa True FM,” “Sana Lourd” with Lourd de Veyra, “Cristy FerMinute,” “Wanted sa Radyo,” “Frontline Pilipinas,” and “Dr. Love” with Bro. Jun Banaag.
Through this programming overhaul, 105.9 True FM aims to elevate its broadcast standards and deliver more meaningful content while maintaining its signature authenticity for its audience.
