Production company CreaZion Studios has teamed up with the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) to establish a comprehensive safety framework for the highly anticipated free-to-air broadcast of The Good Doctor Philippine adaptation, which is slated to premiere on TV5 this year.
The strategic meeting was headed by CreaZion Studios CEO-President Anter “RJ” San Agustin and EVP-Chief Content Officer Real Florido, together with MTRCB Chairman Diorella “Lala” Sotto.
The consultation was also attended by MTRCB Board Member Eloisa Matias, Atty. Cesar Solidum, and Atty. Jojo Salomon, alongside CreaZion Studios’ AVP for Creatives Rona Co, Head of Productions Winnie Hollis, and series director Derick Cabrido.
The discussions centered on maintaining a careful balance between artistic expression and integrating visual and thematic protections appropriate for young viewers on free television. Both entities highlighted that close cooperation is key to maintaining broadcasting benchmarks that safeguard the public while fostering impactful and compelling television.
“Our goal is to deliver content that resonates with Filipino audiences while fully respecting the standards and regulations set forth by our governing bodies,” said San Agustin.
“This partnership with MTRCB reflects our commitment to responsible content creation and our shared vision of elevating Philippine television.”
The initiative underscores CreaZion Studios’ ongoing commitment to partnering with regulatory bodies, ensuring its projects strictly adhere to national laws and broadcasting guidelines while preserving the narrative excellence and integrity of the show.
The local adaptation of The Good Doctor, featuring a star-studded cast including Iñigo Pascual, Janella Salvador, Ryan Agoncillo, Mylene Dizon, Gelli de Belen, James Blanco, and Gabby Padilla, is scheduled to debut soon on TV5.
