First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos gave her husband, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., a simple directive for Father’s Day on Sunday: take a break and rest.
In an affectionate social media post, the First Lady honored the President by thanking him for his unwavering dedication to their family. She highlighted his strength, patience, sense of humor, and deep devotion as both a husband and a father.
“Our children may call you Pops, the nation may call you Mr. President, but I’m the lucky one who gets to call you mine,” she wrote.
She also playfully thanked the President for his “terrible jokes” and “big heart,” noting that their shared life has grown much “sweeter, funnier, and far more meaningful” over time.
