GMA Network is set to delight Asian drama enthusiasts this June with a fresh lineup of highly anticipated Korean series, featuring both a popular romance rerun and a high-stakes sci-fi thriller premiere.
Following the recent mid-month launches of the Chinese drama Exclusive Fairytale and the Thai series You Touched My Heart, the GMA Heart of Asia block is bringing back a massive fan favorite.
The network announced the return of the widely acclaimed series Lovely Runner, which initially hit GMA screens last year. The time-slip romance follows a devoted young woman who travels back in time to prevent a tragic fate from overtaking her favorite male singer.
The hit series is scheduled to make its television comeback on June 22, airing from Monday to Saturday at 11:30 PM.
Meanwhile, the GMA FantaSeries block will introduce a gritty action-thriller later in the month. Beginning June 29, the network will broadcast Duty After School, a suspenseful series centering on high school seniors who are forced to undergo military training to defend the country against an invasion of dangerous alien creatures.
Viewers can catch the morning premiere of Duty After School on weekdays at 8:25 AM on GMA Network.
