In a historic milestone for one of Japan’s highest-earning multimedia franchises, video game developer Cygames has announced that the celebrated live concert series for Uma Musume Pretty Derby will soon make its official debut on the international stage. The landmark announcement was made during Day 2 of the Uma Musume Pretty Derby 7th EVENT WORLD TOUR “THE STAGE” at Tokyo’s Ariake Arena, which concluded on June 21, 2026.
A Broadening Global Footprint
Shattering previous assumptions that the “World Tour” designation was merely a domestic marketing title, Cygames unveiled a multi-nation itinerary that expands the franchise far beyond Japanese borders. The confirmed stops for the upcoming tour include Los Angeles in the United States, marking the franchise’s first-ever overseas performance at the Peacock Theater.
The tour will also visit London in the United Kingdom, serving as a nod to Britain’s deep-rooted equestrian history, followed by a stop in Seoul, South Korea, to cater to the franchise’s robust East Asian fanbase. The global journey will eventually conclude with a grand homecoming performance in Yokohama, Japan.
While specific dates, ticket arrangements, and final cast lineups remain under wraps, industry observers note that the Los Angeles stop closely aligns with Cygames’ recent North American expansion efforts. This includes a scheduled showcase at the highly anticipated Anime Expo 2026 this coming July.
High-Energy Tokyo Showcase Sets the Standard
The Tokyo concert offered a spectacular preview of what global audiences can expect, featuring dynamic choreography, franchise staples like “Umapyoi Densetsu,” and elaborate wardrobe transitions. Performers initially took the stage in regal maroon coats before shedding them mid-set to reveal vibrant idol costumes, a moment that energized both the live arena audience and global livestream chats. Day 1 of the event also surprised attendees with the official performance debut of voice actress Aimi as the newly introduced horse girl character, Casino Drive.
International Fan Communities React
The announcement of a true global tour has sparked significant anticipation across international fan communities. European enthusiasts expressed considerable surprise and excitement over the London stop, given the historical rarity of major Japanese idol-style events in the region.
Meanwhile, North American fans are already preparing for intense ticket competition at the 7,100-seat Peacock Theater, with many anticipating immediate sellouts once sales officially open. As Uma Musume Pretty Derby prepares to make its international leap, the race for tickets and global visibility is officially underway.
