An official probe has been launched by the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Parañaque following severe allegations of sexual abuse involving teachers and students at Parañaque National High School.
The investigation was confirmed in a statement released on June 22, addressing the heavy volume of reports and allegations that have taken over social media platforms. The local education authority promised a thorough and fair look into the matter.
“We wish to assure our learners, parents, personnel, and stakeholders that these allegations are being treated with the utmost seriousness, urgency, and impartiality,” it said.
To build a solid case, the division office is actively calling on witnesses, potential victims, and anyone possessing credible details to step forward.
Information can be securely sent to their dedicated legal and assistance email addresses at legal.paranaque@deped.gov.ph and paac.paranaque@deped.gov.ph.
“All reports shall be treated with appropriate confidentiality and handled in accordance with applicable laws and regulation,” it added.
Furthermore, school officials urged netizens and the community to stop spreading rumors or unconfirmed claims online, warning that such behavior could derail the investigation or violate the privacy and mental health of the individuals involved.
The division’s announcement coincided with immediate public outcry, as students of Parañaque National High School gathered outside the school gates on Monday, June 22, to hold a protest condemning the alleged misconduct by the accused faculty members.
