GMA REGIONAL TV TO LAUNCH REVAMPED HILIGAYNON NEWSCAST “RATSADA BALITA”

GMA Regional TV is rolling out a redesigned Hiligaynon news program called Ratsada Balita on June 29 to serve audiences across Panay and Negros Occidental.

Replacing One Western Visayas, the upgraded broadcast brings a fresh title and an updated presentation style designed to boost regional news gathering and offer timely, community-focused updates.

The program will be spearheaded by anchor Gerthrode Charlotte Tan. She will be supported by a regional reporting team consisting of correspondents John Sala, Adrian Prietos, Aileen Pedreso, Kim Salinas, and Zen Quilantang-Sasa, who will deliver updates from different areas of Western Visayas and Negros Occidental.

Viewers can expect an array of new segments designed for deep-dive and civic-minded journalism:

  • Tatak Ratsada (Ratsada Balita Special Report): A mini-documentary segment dedicated to community challenges, human-interest narratives, and pressing regional topics.
  • Ratsada Exclusive: A dedicated space for investigative journalism and exclusive reporting to give deeper context to major regional headlines.
  • Ipa-Ratsada Mo!: A public service platform created to voice out and resolve local grievances and neighborhood complaints.
  • Mga Istorya ni Alyas Kanor: A segment offering lighthearted, highly engaging stories tailored for everyday entertainment.
  • Ratsada Express: A fast-paced bulletin handling police updates and civic advisories as they happen.
  • Money-Obra (May Trabaho Ka): A livelihood corner listing domestic and international employment openings alongside foreign exchange rates.
  • Isports Lang: A sports desk tracking local and regional athletic competitions.

While debuting these new features, the network will retain several fan-favorite segments carried over from One Western Visayas. Audiences can still look forward to Tsapa Report, Hayop sa Balita, Kapuso Serbisyo, Lakat sang Panahon, Astig, Fiesta!, Namit!, Kuwento ng Pilipino, Health Watch, #SpreadKindness, and Showbits.

Ratsada Balita is scheduled to broadcast Monday through Friday at 5:10 p.m., catering to audiences via GMA TV stations located in Iloilo, Guimaras, Roxas, Kalibo, Tablas, Bacolod, Kanlandog, and Sipalay.
