The “Nation’s Mutya,” actress and singer Ashtine Olviga, is officially gearing up for her highly awaited solo concert later this August.
Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, June 25, the performer revealed that fans can look forward to fresh material, as she intends to debut a handful of unreleased songs during her milestone show.
“Natapos ko na po yung sinulat kong kanta kasama po dun sa EP and ire-record ko na po sya this week so bale sa concert ko po (ay) maglalabas po kami ng additional 5 songs po,” Ashtine explained.
Despite the magnitude of her first-ever solo event, Ashtine admitted that jitters have not kicked in just yet. With a few weeks left before the big day, she is channeling all her energy into a rigorous rehearsal routine to lock down a flawless performance.
“Ngayon po wala pa kasi pakiramdam ko malayo pa eh so nandun po ako ngayon pa sa preparations, more on memorizing po nung songs so para kapag magpa-practice na ng sayaw or pag recording na, hindi ko na po kailangang isipin yung mga lyrics,” she said.
The concert, billed as “Love Like Ashtine,” is set to take over the New Frontier Theater stage on August 22.
