PHILIPPINE AIRLINES EXPANDS FLIGHTS TO NORTH AMERICA

Philippine Airlines (PAL) is ramping up its flight frequencies to the United States and Canada ahead of the upcoming holiday season.

The flag carrier announced a series of schedule expansions starting November 17, when service between Manila and Vancouver will jump from daily flights to 10 times a week. Passengers heading to Toronto will see weekly frequencies rise from three to four beginning December 5, while flights to New York (JFK) will similarly increase from three to four weekly starting December 2.

To accommodate the massive holiday rush, PAL will also add a fifth weekly flight to New York during the peak December 2026 to January 2027 travel window.

”North America continues to be one of Philippine Airlines’ most important markets,” said PAL president Richard Nuttall.

”As travel demand grows, these additional flights strengthen our position as the preferred nonstop carrier between the Philippines and North America whilst providing our customers with greater choice, improved connectivity, and more opportunities to travel, do business, and reconnect with family and loved ones,” he said.

Beyond passenger travel, PAL noted that the boosted frequencies will scale up its cargo capacity, providing vital support for e-commerce, bilateral trade, and high-value logistics between the regions.

The route expansion follows other recent network developments for the airline, which recently celebrated its 85th anniversary and showcased its new Airbus A350-1000.

Earlier this May, the carrier also announced the return of its seasonal nonstop flights between Manila and Sapporo for the 2026 winter season, building on a financially strong year after posting a net income of $160.4 million in 2025.
