AYALA PARTNERS WITH A.P. MOLLER CAPITAL IN LOGISTICS VENTURE

Ayala Corporation has concluded a strategic deal allowing A.P. Moller Capital to secure a 40% equity stake in AC Logistics Holdings Corporation through its Emerging Markets Infrastructure Fund II.

The transaction was finalized after obtaining all required regulatory approvals, including merger control clearances.

This joint venture combines Ayala’s deep domestic footprint with A.P. Moller Capital’s global insight into transportation and logistics infrastructure. Expressing the significance of the alliance, Ayala President and CEO Cezar Consing remarked:

“This partnership reflects Ayala’s long-standing strategy of working with world-class companies to scale our businesses, strengthen execution, and serve customers better.”

A.P. Moller Capital highlighted the strong growth prospects within the local market, with senior partner Lars Reno Jakobsen observing:

“AC Logistics has built a strong position in the Philippine logistics market in a relatively short period of time. The country’s geography and growth outlook create a clear need for more efficient, resilient, and integrated supply chains.”

He further added:

“We see an opportunity to support AC Logistics and Ayala Corp. in scaling a platform that can deliver attractive, sustainable long-term growth, serving customers across key logistics segments, while contributing to the wider development of the sector in the Philippines.”

The capital injection is geared toward accelerating AC Logistics’ expansion across air cargo, cold chain solutions, contract logistics, and project cargo. The enhanced operational efficiency and infrastructure are slated to benefit clients heavily reliant on these networks, particularly in agriculture, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and retail.

Simultaneously, AC Logistics has expanded its cold chain footprint by purchasing an 84% stake in Glacier Megafridge Inc. (GMI), an acquisition that bolsters its capacity to handle temperature-sensitive products nationwide.

AC Logistics President and CEO Erry Hardianto hailed these combined developments as a major turning point:

“The completion of these transactions marks a transformative step in building a leading integrated logistics platform in the Philippines.”

Reflecting on the unified operations moving forward, Hardianto noted:

“Together with A.P. Moller Capital and GMI, we are augmenting our scale, enhancing our capabilities, and expanding our reach across the country. These enable us to provide customers with seamless access to a more comprehensive and interconnected network of logistics nodes across the Philippines.”

Moving forward, the primary objective for AC Logistics will be the smooth operational integration of GMI, focusing on generating structural synergies while maintaining uninterrupted service for existing clients.
