Noontime television heavyweights Vice Ganda and Vic Sotto have shared their openness to guest-starring on each other’s rival programs following the announcement of their historic movie team-up.
Vice Ganda serves as a main presenter and creative consultant for ABS-CBN’s It’s Showtime, while Sotto—widely known as “Bossing”—is a primary host and co-producer of TV5’s long-enduring Eat… Bulaga!
The comedy icons recently confirmed that their collaborative feature, The Greatest Showdown, has been secured as one of the initial four official entries for the 2026 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
When questioned by the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) regarding potential crossover appearances to promote the film, Vice Ganda expressed immense optimism.
“Let’s see kung papayagan tayo,” Vice said.
He added, “But would love to. Sa noontime audiences, para sa Madlang People at sa mga Dabarkads. Kung ano ang ikaliligaya nila, we would love to be doing that for them.”
Sotto mirrored the sentiment, hinting that the highly anticipated television crossover is well within the realm of possibility.
“Malalaman niyo! Darating tayo run,” he remarked.
Reflecting on the decades-long ratings competition between their respective midday shows, Sotto clarified that they have always maintained a friendly relationship rather than a hostile rivalry.
“Never naman kami nagkalaban. Nagkatapat lang. Pero never nagkalaban. Isa lang naman ang gusto namin. Mag-entertain ng tao,” Sotto emphasized.
Helmed by award-winning director Jun Robles Lana, The Greatest Showdown is a major co-production under ABS-CBN Studios, Star Cinema, The IdeaFirst Company, M-Zet Productions, and APT Entertainment. The movie is slated for a nationwide theatrical release on December 25 for the 2026 MMFF.
