Senator Raffy Tulfo remains the most favored senatorial contender for the majority of Filipinos if the 2028 national elections were conducted today, according to a newly released survey by research firm Tangere.
In the poll conducted from June 23 to 27, which surveyed 1,500 respondents and carried a margin of error of \pm2.15\%, the prominent news personality-turned-lawmaker secured the top spot with 37.6% support.
Tulfo also shows strong standing in several presidential surveys, emerging as a leading third-alternative choice alongside Vice President Sara Duterte and former Vice President and current Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo, should the three face off.
Following closely behind Tulfo is Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto, who garnered 36% voter preference despite repeatedly clarifying that he has no intentions of running for a higher national office in 2028—the year his final consecutive term as Pasig’s mayor will conclude.
Rounding out the top tier of candidates are former Senator Grace Poe (35.6%), Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso (34.7%), Davao City Mayor Baste Duterte (34.3%), and Davao City 1st District Representative Paolo Duterte (34.1%).
Also securing positions within the “magic 12” are Senator Robin Padilla, Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero, Education Secretary Sonny Angara, former Senator Manny Pacquiao, Senate Minority Leader Alan Peter Cayetano, and Akbayan Party-list Representative Chel Diokno.
While landing just outside the top 12, Cabinet Secretary Benhur Abalos, Senator Loren Legarda, and Social Welfare Secretary Rex Gatchalian—brother of Senate President Win Gatchalian—are still deemed highly competitive with a strong potential to win.
