Acclaimed actress Maja Salvador has officially announced her comeback to ABS-CBN, sharing that reuniting with her home network brings her a unique sense of professional satisfaction.
Speaking at her solo press conference for the highly anticipated Kapamilya primetime drama “Someone Someday,” Salvador confessed that creating content with ABS-CBN stirs deep emotions that no other network can replicate.
“Alam kong i’m home na ulit. Iba kasi talaga yung pag (gumawa ka ng proyekto) kung saan ka nag-umpisa at doon nabuo ang mga pangarap mo,” Maja said.
The actress emphasized her unwavering confidence in the storytelling caliber of ABS-CBN and its production arm, Dreamscape Entertainment.
She noted that this deep-seated belief heavily influenced her choice to sign on for the upcoming series.
“Iba lang siguro kapag… andami ko nang nagagawang shows (sa ibang mga TV network) but iba lang yung puso ko kapag sa ABS… feeling ko, kahit anong role pa ‘yan, alam kong hindi ako papabayaan ng Dreamscape family, ng ABS-CBN,” she said.
Salvador further established that her upcoming television commitments will remain exclusive to ABS-CBN productions.
She was previously among the high-profile Kapamilya talents, including actor-singer Piolo Pascual, who migrated to TV5 when that station revamped its entertainment slate in 2021. During her stint there, Salvador headlined the inspirational series “Niña Niño,” which emerged as one of TV5’s top-performing programs that year.
Additionally, she was initially lined up to lead the small-screen adaptation of “The Kingdom”—the critically acclaimed and box-office hit from the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival—before the project was ultimately canceled by TV5.
In “Someone Someday,” Salvador is set to co-star alongside Kathryn Bernardo and James Reid. The star-studded drama is scheduled to debut on July 27 at 8:45 p.m. across various platforms, including Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, iWant, TFC, A2Z, TV5, and ABS-CBN on ALLTV2.
